Who is at your center?

Have you ever questioned yourself about why you don't see a change and growth in your own walk with the Lord?
If your answer is yes all the time! Don't worry it happens to me too!
Recently I have heard those voices a lot inside of me, to a point where I was even comparing myself to others, it got to a point where I was just exhausted by them and between a lot of complaints and cries to the lord of uncertainty, unbelief, and blindness by my own self, the Lord was patient with me and still showed me his goodness.
One day I was just complaining to God, and you know, there are some times when God responds you, it's like as if someone just exposes you, and says all the truth that you didn't want to hear. He told me, Irene, yes you are different from others but you as everybody else are unique, but what is the focus of your growth? Is it because you want to please others and your own self, or is it because you are putting the focus on me to glorify me?
Now I was a little like, wait, of course, it's only to glorify you, I'm not pleasing anybody......, and then the Lord started to show me a lot of things that I was doing on my own strength, which I was blinded by my own belief, yes the things that I did they were not bad things they were actually good things (like serving, prayer time, helping others) but I was focused on building a "perfect Christian life" but Christ wasn't really my focus.

There are a lot of times where we can get easily distracted, the process of finding our own uniqueness is not easy and we have to constantly check our focus and who is at our center. There are some things that have helped me to grow in my own unique walk with God that hopefully will help you too!

JESUS AT THE CENTER

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing"
John 15:5

Glorifying God in everything we do is the most important thing, He says it clearly that without Jesus we can do NOTHING.
Jesus as the vine, He is the foundation of everything that we do, If he truly lives in me I am able to love (John 13:34-35), therefore I am obedient (Luke 6:46) and as result,  I produce fruit ( John 15:8)

FINDING YOUR UNIQUENESS

God is so Awesome that he has created each and every single one of us in its UNIQUE way.
1.     NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
2.    Don't put pressure on yourself
3.    Try out different things that best fit with your own personal walk with God, if you are a morning person then maybe prayer and quiet time in the morning will be better for you and vice versa.
4.    Be patient and enjoy every single detail of your walk with God.

KEEPING IT UP

To keep up growing and finding uniqueness we have to keep on seeking and nurturing ourselves being immersed in the word of God.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"
Mathew 6:33

1.     Pray Pray Pray: Prayer is our communication with God, we have to check on god all the time as any other relationship will check on you. Having that communication will also help you to know how to approach God better and helps you to listen better to his voice.
2.    Read the Word every day: our souls need food every day, Just as our bodies do. We need to get nurtured and being renewed in our minds every day. The Word of God is wisdom and wisdom defeats ignorance!
3.    Be diligent, courageous & patient and apply the word of God which is power in your daily life
